Reports have essentially confirmed that a new Batman game is in the works after Warner Bros. lost a ton of money on Suicide Squad. The company has since made a strict mandate to only make games based on Batman, Harry Potter, and Mortal Kombat. This has led to the Wonder Woman game being canceled, which is a shame since it would have used the Система Немезиды.
With no Wonder Woman or Middle Earth games in sight, should the next Batman game use this iconic Nemesis system? Considering how WB patented the system, preventing other devs from using and improving on it, they might as well bring it back for The Caped Crusader.

Introduced in Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, an enemy that kills you would increase their rank, making them stronger and giving them lackeys to command. This was, and still is, a superb mechanic, and it’s a shame that WB decided to prevent others from using the feature.

Наша команда Система Немезиды would make plenty of sense in a new Batman game if nothing else. We imagine that beating this legendary vigilante would raise the stock of a lowlife thug big time. The devs can even have fun and make the Dark Knight protect these newly crowned thugs from other jealous criminals like The Joker.
The nemesis system can also make stealth missions harder, since enemies who’ve beaten you might be able to hire stronger mercenaries. Like the Middle Earth games, this will force players to be more careful when fighting enemies up front or from the shadows. We hope they keep that Pokemon-style weakness for each boss, so Bruce can prepare himself and strike fear back at these criminals.
While this system makes a ton of sense for тонущийn, maybe even more than the Middle Earth titles, we can’t help but wish the Wonder Woman game wasn’t canceled. Much as we love the Dark Knight and his various adventures, this character and his rogue gallery of villains have countless video games to play. Poor Diana has been relegated to being a tyrant in Injustice and a dramatic death in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (spoilers?).
Knowing how Warner Bros. operates, they will absolutely use the Система Немезиды in whatever this new Batman game is called. Then again, based on the company’s previous actions, they will probably try another live-service game. You never know what to expect from Warner Bros. these days.
