The Tier Skip functionality is now available for the Дорога к Battlefield 6 Free Pass in Battlefield 2042, allowing players to fast-track their progress as they look to unlock exclusive BF6 cosmetics.
Its addition was announced as part of Battlefield 2042’s latest update, which also fixed an issue where some weekly missions connected to Vault Weapons would not track properly.
What is the Tier Skip Functionality?
The Tier Skip functionality allows players to skip Battle Pass tiers, instead of unlocking them via XP gained through playing matches and completing challenges.

This means players can instantly advance through levels and unlock rewards included in the Battle Pass, or, in the Дорога к Battlefield 6‘s case, the Free Pass.
So, if you are eyeing up one or more of the Battlefield 6 skins currently on offer in Battlefield 2042’s ongoing event, then this is the perfect chance to get your hands on them. That said, there is a slight catch which we’ve explained below!
How Does the Tier Skip Functionality Work?
As you hover over the Free Pass rewards, you’ll have an option to advance tier(s).
Unfortunately, the only way to take advantage of the Tier Skip functionality is by spending Battlefield Coins, the in-game currency for 2042. These are usually included as Battle Pass rewards, but on this occasion, they do not feature in the Дорога к Battlefield 6 Бесплатный пропуск.

Unless you already have some left over, this means your only option is to spend real money to purchase Battlefield Coins, which range from $6 to $119 depending on how many you want.
Ultimately, the choice is yours: You can either continue the grind and level up the Free Pass by playing matches and completing missions, or instantly unlock rewards by purchasing Battlefield Coins and tier skipping.
There’s still just under a month remaining until the Дорога к Battlefield 6 Free Pass expires, so I’d recommend progressing as far as you can and evaluating where you are before the event ends. If you still haven’t unlocked a particular reward you really want, then you have the option of using the Tier Skip functionality.
