A new take on the story of serial killer Jack the Ripper is in the works with writer-director Michael Head. Production on the comedy spoof film, Jackie the Stripper, is currently underway in London with Frankham Films producing.

«Set in London’s Whitechapel district in 1888, Kirk stars as Jackie/Lottie who finds herself plagued by the infamous Jack The Ripper (Lomas), who is head of a secret organization known only as The Court,» the official synopsis reads. «Only one man, John Grey (Webster), stands up to the Ripper, vowing to fight against the tyranny, carnage and male oppression that is left in the court’s wake. Cut to modern day, and a group of kick-ass female assassins, led by their leader Jackie, plan a series of hits that will leave The Court dead in their tracks.»

Another Horror Spoof Is Being Rebooted

The movie also spawned several sequels in the franchise, but only the first two were directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. The Wayans brothers are set to reunite for the upcoming Очень страшное кино 6. So far, the only cast members announced are Marlon Wayans as Shorty, Shawn Wayans as Ray, and Dave Sheridan as Doofy.
Jackie the Stripper is currently in production, while Очень страшное кино 6 планируется к выпуску в 2026 году.
