Should you pick Crowned Zacian or Crowned Zamazenta?
Zacian or Zamazenta? That is the question many Покемон Go players are going to be asking themselves over this Go Fest 2025 weekend.
With Crowned Shield Zamazenta only appearing in five-star raids on Saturday 28th June, leaving Crowned Sword Zacian to take the raid spotlight on Sunday 29th June, it’s an important question to ask! Especially if you only have the time to get one in Pokémon Go.
So let’s take a look at whether Zacian or Zamazenta is the best в Pokemon Go.

Pokémon Go Zacian or Zamazenta?
Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta are incredibly close to each other in the Pokémon Go stats, which makes the answer to ‘Which one is best?’ субъективный. If you’re in need of a powerful attacker, then go for Zacian. If defense is more your game, then Zamazenta is an excellent choice.
When we go a bit further into the best Pokémon ranking by type, it’s easy to see that Crowned Sword Zacian is the second best Fairy-type attacker (beneath Mega Gardevior). Yet, it loses the top best Steel-type position to Crowned Shield Zamazenta due to that Pokémon having a higher total damage output. This difference all comes down to their signature moves and Adventures Effects — Behemoth Blade for Zacian, Behemoth Bash for Zamazenta.
Both of these moves are incredibly powerful! Having either Crowned form without them really isn’t worth it! (In fact, they both feel a little overpowered at times…) Behemoth Blade excels at launching a higher amount of damage at your foe, while Behemoth Bash has a higher DPS (damage per second) in part because it requires less energy.
On top of this, both Pokémon are perfect for Max Battles, especially Crowned Shield Zamazenta who has the potential to be a little unbeatable. Yet, this doesn’t mean Crowed Sword Zacian won’t be holding back either!
As you can tell, it’s a little hard to pick between them. Crowned Sword Zacian has that high attack power and ranks incredibly well across two types, but Crowned Shield Zamazenta is more suited for being a strong tank for a long battle. If I had to pick, I would personally go for Zacian since it suits my play style a little better.
