From what can be seen in the videos, it’s clear that this mode is still in heavy development, so only time will tell if it’s worth playing. Considering all of the hype that came from EA’s open beta, we imagine fans will be more positive going into it.
The real issue here is that many online shooter fans are going through battle royale fatigue. It wasn’t that long ago when every game was trying to be a battle royale, from Call of Duty to Fallout 76. At the time of writing, Fortnite and CoD: Warzone are the most successful ones thus far, so we’re interested in seeing if BF6’s battle royale can compete.

As previous leaks have stated, the battle royale spinoff for BF6 is going to have a much brighter tone to it. While we don’t think the game will try to be Fortnite or Apex Legends, expect this to be a bit lighter when compared to the base shooter. Obviously, that’s not a bad thing, and it looks like that realistic military aesthetic is still going to be here.
Destruction Is Planned
Based on one of the leaked videos, it’s clear that the devs want destruction to play a huge part in the Battlefield 6 королевская битва. However, this feature isn’t quite ready yet, as the player’s massive sledgehammer only broke a couple of things, like the window. Later on, we do see much better house destruction, so players should be able to break everything by the time this mode is ready for release.

One of the more fascinating aspects of this leaked video was seeing the player swimming in the game. Considering how that was barely done in the open beta, seeing that gameplay mechanic here could lead to some cool stuff. Will we get underwater battles? Are more underwater vehicles planned? This could be very cool.

There was a golf cart seen in one of these Battlefield 6 battle royale leaks, so we imagine that more everyday vehicles will make it in this mode. We imagine this is the goofiest the shooter will get, as crossover costumes were already ruled out. Let’s hope for cooler vehicles that will be added, as multiple maps are presumably planned.
It Sure Is a Battle Royale
Despite all the positives we’ve seen, this does feel like just another battle royale shooter. While very pretty and destructive, fans familiar with the genre might not be won over here. If you want Battlefield 6 mechanics in a battle royale, this is for you. Everyone else might want to stick with Fortnite, unless something unique is announced soon.
