How to unlock the Duchess as a playable character.
герцогиня is one of the characters you can play as in Elden Ring Ночное правление, but you don’t have access to her from the start. Instead, you’ll have to unlock the Duchess before playing as her.
This might be a little disappointing if you were part of the Elden Ring Nightreign beta and Duchess was your favourite character. Fear not though! It’s possible to unlock Duchess quite early on if you know what to do.

How to get the Duchess in Elden Ring Nightreign
To get the Duchess as a playable character in Elden Ring Nightreign, you first have to reach Gladius at the end of the Tricephalos Expedition. After your encounter with the three-headed wolf, you’ll get the ‘Old Pocketwatch’ пункт.
Once you’ve got the ‘Old Pocketwatch’, talk to the Priestess in the Roundtable Hold И выберите ‘Show her the old pocketwatch’ dialogue option. Next, select ‘Give it to her’. You’ll now be treated to a cutscene and, afterwards, the Duchess will be unlocked as a playable character!
Keep in mind that Gladius is the first Nightlord you’ll have to defeat in Nightreign and ideally you’ll be facing him alongside two other players.
It’s important to note, however, that in our experience you do not have to defeat Gladius to earn the ‘Old Pocketwatch’. Yet, when this occurred, only one member of our party earned the item. Due to this, you may have to play through the Tricephalos Expedition multiple times — reaching and hopefully defeating Gladius — before you can unlock the Duchess.
