The Timekeeper isn’t the only big bad in Borderlands 4, because he is allied with three tough bosses that can easily take you down if you aren’t careful. The other large entities you must worry about are Idolator Sol, Vile Lictor, and Callis.
While Callis technically isn’t an ally to the Timekeeper anymore, she poses a massive threat to you and the Crimson Resistance. Plus, you need her Command Bolt if you want to progress the story, so you need to take her out.

How to Defeat Callis, The Ripper Queen, in Borderlands 4
Callis is one of the Timekeeper’s commanders. At least she was before she decided to rip the Bolt from her head when Elpis appeared above Kairos. As such, you will need to defeat her to progress Borderlands 4 campaign.
She resides in the Moon-Called Throne, which is in the far northwestern section of Carcadia Burn. You will fight Callis as part of the Her Flaming Vision main quest.

Callis has various attacks that she will perform throughout the fight, with some making her invulnerable for short periods. Keep a eye on her because she moves rather quickly at times.

Suicide Rippers |
At the start of the fight, Callis will have a trio of Suicide Rippers run at you with explosives. |
Shoot the Rippers at the start of the fight while backing away. |

Lava Stomp |
Callis stomp one of her robot legs, causing globs of lava to shoot out in different directions. The lava will return to her after a few seconds. |
Double jump to avoid the lava. You should also either hover or jump shortly after to avoid the lava when it returns. |

Proximity Bombs |
Callis throw out proximity bombs that will explode if you land within the area of effect. |
Avoid the glowing red area indicator. You can also use these bombs to revive yourself if you enter Fight For Your Life mode. |

Spinning Tail Slam |
Callis leap into the air, spin, and slam the ground with her tail. |

During her second phase, Callis will launch herself up into a digital spider web-like frame above the arena and then start summoning digital structures that will slow your movement to a crawl if you enter them. |
Avoid all the digital structures and avoid any that she throws at the ground. |
When confronting Callis, it is important to note that she is weak to corrosive and incendiary damage types. Bringing weapons that deal these damage types will help you defeat her more quickly.
Callis, The Ripper Queen Strategy
Of the three commanders, Callis is the most erratic and the most damaging. Her attacks are sometimes difficult to predict, but look for the queues to easily avoid them.
When her leg glows, that means she will perform her lava slam. When she jumps into the air, look out for her tail slam, and when she gets in , expect her to swipe at you.
When Callis enters her second phase, she will have periods of time when she is invulnerable. Any time she leaps into her digital web-like projection, you will be unable to damage her. During this time, pay attention to dodging the digital rocks that she spawns and taking out her Ripper allies.
It is useful to destroy the Ripper King robot that she has floating around her, as this will also attack you throughout the fight and be an overall nuisance.
Taking this robot out any time it spawns will help make the fight more manageable, and you will still be able to bring yourself back up from Fight For Your Life by shooting the proximity bombs that Callis spawns in the arena. Keep at it and eventually, you’ll beat her.
