Much like the Oasis Egg, getting a Primal Egg involves a a little bit of resource gathering, crafting, or via one of the new upgrades. If you’re lucky, then you might find yourself a useful pet like the Spinosaurus!

How to get the Primal Egg
The Primal Egg can be acquired in a few different ways.
Two of the main ways via gameplay, is to either upgrade the DNA Machine and trade pets with the vendor added and evolved as part of both the Prehistoric and Pet Mutation updates, or to unlock the ability to craft youe own Primal Egg. To do this, you’ll also need to upgrade the DNA Machine, and then use 1 Dinosaur Egg, 1 Bone Blossom crop, and 5,500,000 Sheckles.
The other alternative is to buy a Premium Primal Egg with Robux, of which there are selections of 1, 3, and 10 eggs that cost 149, 429, and 1,269 Robux respectively. There is also the added chance of a rainbow variant of one of the dinosaurs (except Spinosaurus) from this method — but of course, as it costs money, it’s less convenient than unlocking in-game. It also seems like this particular version is a limited time offer.
There are five Primal Egg pets, so let’s take a look at their odds…
Primal Egg pets and odds
The Primal Egg can hatch five pets in Grow a Garden. Here are the odds of hatching each one:

Primal Egg Pet Traits
Here are the traits for all of the Primal Egg pets:

| Spinosaurus | Every 19 minutes, a random mutation from four fruits in your garden will be taken and applied to one other fruit at random in your garden. |
In our opinion, the best pets from the Primal Egg are the Spinosaurus и Ankylosaurus.
The Spinosaurus will allow you to constantly be boosting the sale value of many of the crops in your garden, and having the chance of doing this to any potentially rare mutations you have currently only one a couple of plants. This would be especially handy if you got the new Infected mutation.
As for the Ankylosaurus, this will act somewhat as a defensive pet that will help prevent losing crops from time to time when another player steals them. Even if it won’t protect you every single time, it’s still going to help keep your rarer plants safe. Plus, when paired with the Spinosaurus, you’ll hopefully be able to have multiple plants with rare mutations that will then also be protected by the Ankylosaurus trait.
