Spring may be long over, but you never really need an excuse to start cleaning up, especially when it’s slated to be as entertaining as it’ll be in PowerWash Simulator 2.
Originally announced in March of this year, PowerWash Simulator 2 is the upcoming sequel to everyone’s favorite comfy cleanliness game, PowerWash Simulator. When the game was first announced, it was slated for a release date sometime in 2025, though as the end of the year has approached, we haven’t heard any new news about the specific launch day.
In an announcement on the game’s Steam page, PowerWash Simulator 2 developer and publisher FuturLab admitted that, while they had planned to announce the game’s release date today, the game has unfortunately not yet gone gold across all planned platforms, and so they can’t put it in stone as of now. Luckily, as a peace offering, FuturLab has given us something else to chew on while we wait for the release date: a free demo.
The Free Demo Has Two Levels To Explore And Clean
The PowerWash Simulator 2 demo, which is available now for free download from the game’s Steam store page, gives players a little taste of the updated cleaning mechanics and interface. According to FuturLab’s announcement, the demo features two playable levels to make satisfyingly clean, the Removals Van and the Public Facility, as well as a glimpse of the new Home Base area, which players will be able to explore and customize.
The demo also gives you access to two starter washers, the Prime Vista 1500 and Urban X U1, as well as «new, bubbly soap,» and one of the new unlockable cleaning tools, the SwirlForce Floor Cleaner.
Completing the levels in the demo will unlock furniture for you to decorate the Home Base with, and you’re free to replay the two demo levels as much as you like. Also, apparently there are pettable cats included in the demo, which is naturally excellent.
To end the announcement, FuturLab clarified that, «We’ll let everyone know when they can pick up the full game as soon as we possibly can. Thanks for being patient(ish)!»
