While she often plays the role of a damsel in distress, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom has the capabilities to become the central figure in a role-playing title, and she could do it even better than Марио ever could. One of the reasons for this is that she has already proven herself to be a versatile fighter.

That concept alone can bring out a lot of potential in an Ролевые (РПГ) game, as it can be used to develop interesting attack options that make battles fun and engaging.
Aside from that game, others like Super Принцесса персик и супер Марио РПГ have laid the groundwork for her to show off that she can handle her own fights in interesting ways. Through them, we see her capable of using magic and a wide arsenal of weapons, further emphasizing that she would be perfect as both a diverse role-playing fighter and main protagonist.
Another good reason why Nintendo should seriously consider making her the lead in a Марио Ролевые (РПГ) is due to her status as the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Her being a ruler could make for some deep and engaging storylines that have nothing to do with Марио and his pals.
A potential plot could involve her having to deal with problems other kingdoms, like Sarasaland and Beanbean, are facing in whatever way she deems best before they affect her own. Something like that would do well in fleshing out her personality and role, while also giving the other characters and areas in the Марио universe a chance to shine.
