The 2025 Monster Hunter Wilds crossover event is the second one added to Final Fantasy XIV since the first one brought players face-to-face with Rathalos during the Stormblood expansion. This time, however, your beastly foe is Guardian Arkveld, who has shown up in Tural thanks to interdimensional machinations by Omega.

If you’re looking to dive into this content and become the best monster hunter this side of Eorzea, then you’ll need to know where to start the event’s questline. There are more than plenty of rewards to partake in as well, from mounts to minions, music, furnishings, and more.

How to Complete Monster Hunter Wilds Quests in Final Fantasy 14

Similar to other unique event content in FFXIV, there’s a quest you’ll need to find and pick up to get started with the Monster Hunter Wilds crossover event. Note that you will need to have first completed the «Dawntrail» Main Scenario Quest for this content to become accessible.

First, head to Tuliyollal and look for an NPC named Dawn Hunt Tracker near the Bayside Bevy Marketplace at (X:13.3 Y:13.1). Speak to them, and they’ll offer you The White Wanderer quest. From there, you’ll travel to Shaaloani and meet up with the Stray Felyne who has somehow ended up in Tural, along with a beast known as Guardian Arkveld. After following its tracks around the landscape, you’ll end up near the lair it’s holed up in.

Speak with the Palico at the Monster Hunter-inspired campsite, and it’ll unlock a new trial called The Windward Wilds for you. Note that you’ll need a combat job with a minimum item level of 725 или выше to participate in the Normal-tier version of this trial. Similar to other trials in the game, you can queue for it via your Duty Finder menu.

Once you successfully clear The Windward Wilds (Normal), you can then visit The Wandering Minstrel in Tuliyollal (X:11.1 Y:14.6) to unlock the Extreme version of the trial. Be aware that you’ll need a combat job with a minimum item level of 740 или выше to participate. You can also queue for the Extreme via Duty Finder, or join a preformed group via the Party Finder menu, which is a popular choice in most regions for more difficult battle content.

Note that this is permanent content for FFXIV, so no need to worry about having to feverishly grind your Arkveld trial clears for all the rewards you want.

Once you clear The Windward Wilds (Normal) for the first time, you’ll gain access to the Smithy vendor in Tuliyollal (X:13.2 Y:13.0), who provides an impressive lineup of various exclusive rewards (some won’t be available on the Market Board) that can be exchanged for either Guardian Scales or Guardian Arkveld Certificates. They also have augmentation services for any Veldian weapons you acquire.

Note that while Guardian Scales can be obtained from either the Normal or Extreme-tier version of the trial, Guardian Arkveld Certificates can only be obtained from the Extreme version of the trial.
