Donkey Kong Bananza Lagoon Layer SL100 Banandium Gem locations
At time of writing we’ve found 23 Banandium Gems in SL100 of Lagoon Layer. Here’s how to find them all:

1 — First Crockoid Cracked
You can get this Banandium Gem when you first land in the Lagoon Layer after completing Ingot Isle. As soon as you land, the Gem will be in front of you.
2 — Cave by the Cape
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below near the beginning of the layer (where you’ll also find a Fossil tucked away inside a wall).

Here, look for a blocked cave opening that looks like this:

Punch through this opening and follow the path inside. You should almost instantly find a Banandium Gem buried halfway in the ground. Hit it to dig it out and collect your first one for the Lagoon Layer.

4 — Bathing Banana
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below:

On your right, look for a blocked cave opening near a large Boom Boulder.

Smash through this opening and carefully drop down to the area below. Once you’re down here you should land in some water. The Banandium Gem is slightly submerged, so swim over to it and hit it repeatedly to collect it.
5 — Shifty Smash: Beyond the Wall
Head to the point marked on the map below:

Once here, look for a small floating triangle. Hit this and this will make a cube appear on the opposite side of the rock formation behind the triangle. You will now have 20 seconds to get to the cube and destroy it.

You can use the nearby clay cube to make Boom Bombs to blast a hole through it, or you can simply climb around the edge of the rock or over the top of it to get there in time.

Once you’ve destroyed the cube before the time runs out, the Banandium Gem will appear where the floating triangle previously was.
6 — Battle: Stoney, Grassy Goons
Head for the point marked on the map below, and look for the punch down switch here.

When you find the switch, press B to punch downward to activate the switch and enter the Battle Challenge.

For this challenge, you’ll need to defeat three Crockoid in 30 seconds. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to claim your Banandium Gem.
7 — A Nook Behind Concrete
Head to the point marked on the map below in the tunnel/cave area:

When you’re moving through the area look up and to your right, you should see a concrete wall with sparks flying out of it. Use a Boom Bomb to destroy it.

Once destroyed, climb up here to collect the Banandium Gem.

8 — Battle: Both Sides of the Bridge
Head to the Reservoir Hills marker and look for the sealed switch next to it. We’ve marked the location on the map below too:

When you find the switch, press and hold L to make music to break the seal. Then, press B to punch downward and head inside.

Once inside, you’ll have 30 seconds to defeat six Antickoids. This is relatively easy to do as you just need to hit them and you can even lift them up once you’ve hit them to target the other Antickoids.

When you’ve successfully completed this challenge, you’ll be able to collect the Banandium Gem.
9 — Smash through the Floor
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below and look for a cave opening with a green floor. Be mindful of the enemy on the ceiling!

When you’ve found it, break through the concrete square in the bottom left corner using the enemy on the ceiling above.

Drop down through the newly formed hole in the floor and collect your Banandium Gem!
10 — Cranky’s Lagoon Rant
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below.

Look for Rambi standing dilligently waiting for Cranky Kong. When here, pick up a large slab of rock and look behind Rambi. Launch the rock at the floating cube here, then rinse and repeat with the next floating cube to create a pathway to Cranky Kong.

Speak to Cranky Kong and, once his rant is over, you’ll get the Banandium Gem!
11 — A Real Mouthful
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below and climb up behind the waterfall.

Near the top behind the waterfall you should see a blocked cave entrance.

All you need to do is punch the wall here to make an opening and get your Banandium Gem.
12, 13, 14 — Rest Stop on Roof Road, Hidden on Roof Road and At the End of Roof Road
Head for the point we’ve marked on the map below and look for the triangle that’s void sealed in the wall here at the top of the path.

When you find the wall, walk up to it and press and hold L to make music to break the seal.

Once the seal is broken, punch the triangle and it’ll take you inside. Here, you’ll find a challenge course that will reward you with three Banandium Gems! Here’s how to find all three of them.
The first Banandium Gem is near the beginning of the course, simply swing your way across the first pathway and you should see the Banandium Gem sitting on a platform here.

From the first Banandium Gem, keep following the path forwards until you find another swinging section with stone slabs moving across it from left to right.

Climb out onto this and head forwards then to the left, using the gaps in the rocks or punching through them to make sure you’re not knocked off.
Keep heading left until you hit the wall here and then follow the climbing path around to the right, you should see there’s a ledge here.

Head over to and drop down onto the ledge. To your left, near the plant, break the wall and you’ll find your Banandium Gem.

The final one on this course is at the very end, so head back along the climbing path and keep following it forwards, you’ll reach your Banandium Gem as well as the exit.

15 — Lakeside Low Road
Head to the point marked on the map below and look for two green barrels tucked away on small platform beneath the main pathways.

Use the Barrels to create an opening in the wall behind them. If you don’t get all the way through, punch the wall to finish the hole off.

Once through, you should almost instantly see the Banandium Gem!
16 — Battle: Swarms among the Pillars
Head for the point marked on the map below and look for an opening with a Void seal on it.

Press and hold L to make music to break the seal. Once it’s broken, head inside for a Battle Challenge. To complete this challenge you need to beat 50 Peekaboopoids in 30 seconds.

Once you’ve completed the challenge you can collect your Banandium Gem!
17 — Follow the Voided Terrain
Head to the point marked on the map below and drop down through the hole in the floor with the waterfall passing through it.

When you land, you should be in some shallow water but you should also see a purple Banandium Gem. You can’t collect this while it’s purple.

To clear the Banandium Gem, look for the blocked cave opening to the right of it by following the purple on the floor from the Gem. You know what to do, smash out an opening.

Once you’re through, follow the purple on the floor until you see a purple rock. Continue to follow the purple on the floor past it. Be warned, some enemy will drop down from the ceiling as you get closer to it.
Then you’ll come to a wall. Smash your way through the wall and you’ll find a large voided cave with a sealed Voidco object in it. Get closer to it and press and hold L to make music to break the seal.

Once the seal has broken, repeatedly hit the Voidco object and smash it to pieces. This will clear the void and you can head back to collect your Banandium Gem.
18 — Fishin’ for Bananas
Head to the point marked on the map below near the tank:

Head to the point marked on the map above and find the two fishing Monkey behind the waterfall. Follow their lines beneath the water and you’ll see a submerged Banandium Gem.
Punch down into the water to collect the Banandium Gem!

19 — Rise and Rinse
Head to the water tank at the location marked on the map below.

When here, look for the blue balloon-like object floating on a platform in the water. Make your way over to this.

Once here, repeatedly hit the object and you should see that it’s raising a platform with a Banandium Gem on it in the middle of the water underneath the waterfall. Keep hitting this until the Gem has fully surfaced.
Quickly make your way over to the risen platform and collect the Banandium Gem!
20 — Placed in a Pipe
Head to the point marked on the map below, this is also where you can get the Shift Smash: Atop the Pipes Banandium Gem:

Along the outer edge of the pipe formation here look for a piece of broken pipe sticking out of the edge. Jump into here carefully and follow the path inside then around to the right, you should soon bump into the Banandium Gem in here.
21 — Shifty Smash: Atop the Pipes
Head for the location marked on the map below, yes you need to be up high on the piping structure here.

When you’re up on the pipes, carefully make your way to the middle of them to find a triangle switch here. Hit this to activate it.

Now, you’ll have 20 seconds to destroy all the shapes that appear. To do this, hop into the closest barrel to you, wait for it to aim at the next barrel and press A to fire, it will shoot you to the next one.

Wait for the next barrel to turn towards the long rectangle shape you need to destroy and press A to fire.
Keep doing this and follow the pipe path with the rectangles on it and you’ll eventually easily destroy all the shapes. Once you’ve done this successfully, you’ll be able to collect the Banandium Gem.
22 — Battle: Wings and the Wobbly Disc
Head for the water tank, we’ve marked it on the map below too:

Look for the blocked cave opening beside the water tank and smash the wall here to make an opening.

Head through the opening and hold L to make music to break the seal on the challenge starting point here.

Drop through the opening and get ready for a Battle Challenge. For this challenge you need to beat three Buzzoids in 30 seconds. Once you’ve completed this challenge, you can collect the Banandium Gem!
23 — Beyond the Cloudy Platforms
Head to the point marked on the map below and you should see floating cubes out in the air.

Grab large stone slabs and aim them at the cubes to trigger them, they’ll become solid platforms for a brief amount of time.

Swiftly make your way across these platforms to get the Banandium Gem on the final one.
24 — Blasting for the Banana
Head to the point marked on the map below and look for a dive punch switch.

Once you find the switch, jump up and press B in midair to dive punch it. This will destroy the wall behind it.

After the wall has been destroyed, you can head across the water to get the Banandium Gem.
Donkey Kong Bananza Lagoon Layer SL101 Banandium Gem locations
At time of writing we’ve found 15 Banandium Gems in SL101 of Lagoon Layer. Here’s how to find them all:
- 26 — Landed in Salvager’s Landing
- 27 — Shifty Smash: A Wall Hanging in Air
- 28 — On the Ceiling of the Floor
- 29, 30, 31 — Over the Thorny Path, Into the Thorny Nook and Through the Thorny Walls
- 32 — The Salvager’s Path
- 33 — Battle: Concrete-Wall Clash
- 34 — Up, Over, and Across
- 35 — Within the Fast-Growing Grass
- 36 — Hangin’ on Orang-Hang Highway!
- 37 — Concrete Wall on the Moving Floor
- 38 — Outskirts of the Fishing Village
- 39 — Crossed to the Kong Elder’s Court!
- 40 — The Ship’s Stern Snack
26 — Landed in Salvager’s Landing
To get this Banandium Gem all you have to do is destroy the Voidco Plug on SL100 and dive through the hole down to SL101.

Once you land, look to the right and you should see your Banandium Gem there.

27 — Shifty Smash: A Wall Hanging in Air
Head to this point on the map below and climb up the pillar here:

You should find a triangle switch at the top of this. Interact with this and you’ll have 20 seconds to destroy the floating slab nearby. Use the large clay cube at the end of the platform to collect Boom Bombs, launch them at the rectangle to destroy it!


Do this successfully and the Banandium Gem will appear!
28 — On the Ceiling of the Floor
Head to the point marked on the map below once you’ve raised the water level:

Then, jump into the water and swim beneath the platform here to find the Banandium Gem.

29, 30, 31 — Over the Thorny Path, Into the Thorny Nook and Through the Thorny Walls
Head to the clothing stall and then look directly opposite it, you should see a triangle wall here. Head over to this and punch it to head inside.

Once inside, you’ll need to complete the Thorn-Choked Conveyor Challenge Course to get three Banandium Gems.
The first Banandium Gem is on the path straight ahead of you, just remember to avoid or destroy the thorns as you make your way across — whatever you do, don’t touch them!

The second Banandium Gem is further along on this path, to keep pressing forward you need to grab some of the explosive rock from the moving floor and use this to destroy the thorns blocking your path.

When you’ve destroyed the first full thorn wall, look for another thorn wall on your left.

Again, destroy this and the wall behind it to reveal the next Banandium Gem.

The third and last Banandium Gem for this course is near the exit. To find it, keep following the path forward by destroying the thorns.

32 — The Salvager’s Stash
Head to the point marked on the map below:

Now, go down the hole underneath the hut beside the clothing shop here.

You should almost instantly see the Banandium Gem in the ground in the hole here.
33 — Battle: Concrete-Wall Clash
Head to the point marked on the map below and look for a punch switch.

When you find it, press B to punch downward and enter the Battle Challenge.

To complete this challenge you need to defeat two Crockoid in 30 seconds. However, some concrete walls stand in your way so you’ll need to use Boom Bombs to reach your targets.

Once you’ve successfully done this, you can collect your Banandium Gem.
34 — Up, Over, and Across
To get this Banandium Gem you need to head to the point marked on the map below.

The first time you get to this location you’ll be able to collect a Banandium Gem. However, to do this you’ll need to destroy a concrete slab blocking your climbing path up to some mesh ceiling clings.


Once you’re at the mesh clings, swing across and collect your Banandium Gem.

35 — Within the Fast-Growing Grass
Head to the point marked on the map below:

You should be able to see a mesh grip ceiling here. Jump up and hold onto this, then use the mesh to swing forwards.

Keep following the mesh path forward and around to reach the Banandium Gem in the middle.

36 — Hangin’ on Orangu-Hang Highway!
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below, near Orangu-Hang highway by creating a path down from SL100.

Look directly ahead from the landing point and you’ll see the Banandium Gem.
37 — Concrete Wall on the Moving Floor
Head to this point on the map near Orangu-Hang Highway:

Here, wait for the clay pillar to raise and climb on top of it. Once raised, grab a chunk of the clay to get a Boom Bomb and aim it opposite you towards the concrete wall on a slightly higher platform.

Now, make your way up to this platform using the raised pillars and then, once on it, follow the path forward. Look for the concrete wall on your left. Grab a chunk of the nearby explosive clay pillars and use this to destroy the wall.

You can now collect the Banandium Gem that was hidden here!
38 — Outskirts of the Fishing Village
Head to the point we’ve marked on the map below:

When here, you should find that there are climbing grips at the bottom of large moving cubes that Donkey Kong can hold onto and swing from. Make your way across these carefully.

At the end, you should find the Banandium Gem sitting on a platform waiting to be collected!
39 — Crossed to the Kong Elder’s Court!
You can get this Banandium Gem after you restore the bridge to the Kong Elder’s Court by clearing the blocked pipes to raise the water level of SL101.
Once you raise the bridge, you can cross it to collect the Banandium Gem.

40 — The Ship’s Stern Snack
Make your way to the Kong Elder’s court and then you should see stacks of shipping containers here. Climb your way around these and keep following them to the far side until they stop. Stick to the right side of them.
Once they stop, you should see a Banandium Gem on a ledge here.

Donkey Kong Bananza Lagoon Layer SL102 Banandium Gem locations
At time of writing we’ve found five Banandium Gems in SL102 of Lagoon Layer. Here’s how to find them all:
- 51 — Dipped into Chimpy Channel!
- 52, 53, 54 — Pop and Destroy, Atop the Concrete Roof and Hung from the Ceiling
- 55 — Shipwrecked Treasure
51 — Dipped into Chimpy Channel!
You can get this Banandium Gem when you first make your way to SL102 after meeting the Kong Elder. As soon as you break the Voidco plug and drop through to the next sublayer, you can collect the Banandium Gem.

52, 53, 54 — Pop and Destroy, Atop the Concrete Roof and Hung from the Ceiling
Head forward on the main path of this layer and look to your left, you should see a sealed ruins entrance.

Walk up to it, press and hold L to break the seal then head inside by transforming and punching the entrance while in Kong Bananza. In here, you’ll find another challenge course that contains three Banandium Gems.
The first Banandium Gem can be collected by popping all five balloons hidden around the course. If you’re having trouble with one of the balloons, punch down into the ground where the moving wall is. When you’ve found all the balloons, you’ll get your Gem.

The second Banandium Gem is found by looking at the ceiling! You’ll find the Gem hanging here. To get to it, look at the roof and climb up a pillar to the metal mesh grate on the ceiling — use this to reach the Gem.

The third Banandium Gem can be found by climbing to the roof of the structure. Head to the outer limits of the course and use the concrete walls here to climb up.

55 — Shipwrecked Treasure
Head to the point marked on the map below directly opposite the sealed ruins:

Break through the wall to get here, and you should see half of a wrecked ship. Walk around to the opposite side of the wreck to find an opening and the Banandium Gem.
