Best Weapons in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Вот наш выбор best weapons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 across the entire story for each character. Some of these choices can be gained early in your adventure, but some you’ll need to be patient and wait for as they’re not available until the late game stages:
- Gustave — Lanceram
- Maelle — Lithum/Jarum
- Monoco — Joyaro/Ballaro
- Lune — Snowim
- Verso — Simoso/Contorso
- Sciel — Charnon/Tisseron
Gustave — Lanceram
The Lanceram can be found early on in the main story, either by defeating a Lancelier in Spring Meadows or you can buy a higher level version of it from the Cruler in Coastal Cave for 21,275 Chroma.
This weapon comes with a solid base power level for Gustave and it compliments Gustave’s fighting style. The effectiveness of this weapon can be enhanced by applying Pictos and Lumina abilities that enhance its stats.
Maelle — Lithum/Jarum
Though they are both weapons that can be obtained later in the game, both Lithum and Jarum are excellent choices for Maelle.
You can get Lithum by defeating Alicia in The Reacher (this can only be done after you reach relationship level five with Maelle.) You can get Jarum by going to the west side of Gestral Village and defeating the Chromatic Jar there.
The one you pick will depend on which effects you want to enhance — but they both have the option to use Virtuose Stance on Counterattack at level four and ten, which is handy. This will free up one of your skills for something else as the weapon will house this option for you.
The difference between the two weapons is that Lithum is more focused on dealing damage to enemies that have been ‘Marked’ (so if Lune has used an ability to ‘Mark’ an enemy, a follow up attack from Maelle with this weapon would usually deal a lot of damage.) Whereas Jarum is better for the Burn effect, essentially stacking this on any targets you attack with this weapon.
Ultimately, we recommend trying to obtain both weapons as they each are powerful in their own right.

Monoco — Joyaro/Ballaro
Just like Maelle and Sciel, there are two solid weapon choices for Monoco once he joins your party — Joyaro and Ballaro.
Joyaro starts Monoco in Almighty Mask, which means you’re already starting the fight with an edge against the enemy (most of the time.) Remember, this gives you a damage boost on any skill you choose. Also, you can further increase your damage bonus each time Monoco avoids being damaged while in Almighty Mask.
Another solid choice for Monoco is Ballaro, the level 10 and 20 unlocks for this weapon gives extra AP to the rest of your party while you’re in Almighty Mask or if you use an upgraded skill.
You can find Ballaro in a few different places, you can get it by defeating enemies north-west of Visages, buy it from Cribappa the Gestral Merchant in Act 3, or by defeating the Chromatic Clissando in Sirene’s Dress. If you’re after Joyaro, you can get it by defeating the Lampmaster boss in Flying Manor or by defeating the Ultimate Sakapatate in Endless Night Santuary.
Lune — Snowim
One of the best choices for Lune is the Snowim weapon, which you can’t get your hands on until mid-late game but it’s worth the wait and the effort to get it.
This is a weapon you should consider, especially if you’re using Lune as the main healer in your group. It’s worth noting that, at higher levels, the Snowim unlocks passive abilities that give health back to Lune each time it’s her turn, as well as giving her Stains and AP.
You can get the Snowim by either defeating the Gargant in Flying Manor or by defeating the Gargant in Frozen Hearts. Again, it’s effort but it’s worth it in the long run.

Verso — Simoso/Contorso
Finally, two of the best weapons you can choose for Verso when he joints your party are Simoso and Contorso (though you can use Lanceram too as a back up option).
Simoso has a second sword that deals an extra hit with most of the attacks or skills that you use while it’s equipped, so you attack once as usual and then the second sword will spawn to help do some extra damage. Also, at higher levels, this weapon will have a background effect of making Verso immortal if you’re higher than Rank A!
Contorso combines your base attack abilitiy to break enemies and then follows up by making you Rank S when Break happens. When you’re in Rank S (get ready for this) every Critical Hit will have a lightning strike and you’ll have a 100% Critical chance.
You can get Contorso after defeating the Contortionniste enemy found in The Chosen Path in one of the painting frames. You can get Simoso by defeating Simon in The Abyss, which you can access from Renoir’s Drafts.
Sciel — Charnon/Tisseron
Just like Maelle, there are two good choices for Sciel, Tisseron and Charnon, — but we recommend obtaining both so that you’ve got options.
The Tisseron is a solid choice because it increases Twilight damage when you use Sun skills and it allows you to have a second turn when you’re in Twilight (which allows you to do more damage to your enemies.)
The next option also revolves around Twilight, and this is Charnon. This weapon gives you a 100% Critical Chance when you’re in Twilight. Also, at its higher levels, Critical Hits will also apply Foretell on enemies which will enhance your overall damage and can be stacked up to five times.
You can get Tisseron by defeating Sirene as part of the main story, and you can buy Charnon from Grour the Gestral in Renoir’s Drafts (after you defeat him in battle.)
