Beloved Hitman Game Heads to Switch, Switch 2, iOS, Android

One of the best Hitman games, Hitman: Absolution, is heading to iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with the mobile ports arriving first this autumn/fall. Port developer Feral Interactive, who has previously worked on the Total War series and GRID Legends for iOS and Android platforms, is working on these versions of Hitman: Absolution.

It’s the Full Game

The iOS and Android versions of Hitman: Absolution will be the full game with all of its 20 missions intact. It will feature «slick touch controls,» according to Feral Interactive, but if that’s not your speed, both a controller and a keyboard and mouse will be fully supported.

You can already pre-order the game on the App Store for iOS for $14.99 / £9.99 / €12,49. You can also pre-register on Google Play if you game on your Android device.

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch version will launch in late 2025 with native Switch 2 support to come in 2026. No mention of a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version has been discussed by Feral Interactive as of the time of writing, but you can get the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection on PS4 and Xbox One through backwards compatibility; it comes with Hitman: Absolution and Hitman: Blood Money. Regardless, the developer mentions that «more details of the Switch versions will be revealed later this year.»

Hitman: Absolution is Very Cheap Right Now on Steam

Hitman: Absolution is quite an easy game to access on PC, however. As of the time of writing, the stealth game is now $0.99 (or 90% off for the rest of the world) on Steam. It’s not a particularly hard game to purchase in 2025 if you have a relatively modern PC. It was also free for Amazon Prime subscribers last year. Taking the game on the go, however, may be worthwhile, on the other hand.

It may be worth playing this game on iOS, Android, and Switch systems as it was one of our editors, Adam Beck’s favorite games of 2012 when it launched. «It may be a little bit more linear in the sense that there’s a coherent story, but each area has many ways to approach a situation and almost creates a virtual open world setting,» said Beck in the article. For those who are craving more stealth adventures with Agent 47 after the excellent Hitman trilogy on modern platforms, Hitman: Absolution might be the way to go.

Hitman: Absolution originally launched on November 12, 2012 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The original developer of Hitman: Absolution, IO Interactive, is currently working on a new game based on popular spy James Bond. It’s called 007: First Light. It has an original story that tells the origins of the famed agent. It currently has a vague 2026 release window and will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. 007: First Light seems to be ultimate adventure for Bond fans as he drives expensive vehicles, visits luxurious spots around the world, and has plenty of gadgets at his disposal. If you’re an IO Interactive fan, you may be happy to know that stealth is certainly an option in this game too.
