Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched a few weeks ago and was met with heavy criticism from both players and critics – so much so that it quickly became the franchise’s worst launch on Steam, even leading to refunds after the use of undisd AI-generated materials came to light.

EA Unleashes California Resistance and Invites Players for a Free Week
Battlefield 6 recently gave a warm welcome to its latest update, titled the Калифорнийское Сопротивление, that adds a bunch of season content for the main multiplayer and the REDSEC version (which is free-to-play), including a new map, free weapons, special missions, and even a time-limited mode.
In order to celebrate the arrival of content, EA announced that the game will be free to play for an entire week on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Из Ноябрь 25 к 2 декабря.
It is a limited version of Battlefield, but that includes access to three different maps (Siege of Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields) and five multiplayer modes (Conquest, Breakthrough, Team Deathmatch, Sabotage, and one more yet to be confirmed).
“From November 25 to December 2, a free trial experience of Battlefield 6 with select maps and modes will be available, featuring five modes and three maps”, the press release says. “This is your chance to experience the high-octane multiplayer warfare of Battlefield 6 for an entire week for free”.
If you’re interested in joining the event, you must have Battlefield REDSEC installed, as the trial period seems to work as an update within that version.
The Free Trial for Battlefield 6 comes as a surprise for most players, since it arrives less than two months after the game’s official launch – and with quite suspicious timing, if you’re following Call of Duty’s latest news.
In any case, once the “free-to-play” week wraps up, Battlefield 6 players can already gear up for the final major update of 2025: the Зимнее наступление, arriving December 9, which will introduce a fully frozen version of the Эмпайр Стейт карта.
