ARC Raiders has a lot of things going on in-game, some of which go fairly unexplained for a lot of reasons. This extraction shooter isn’t pulling any punches, and information of any kind can be incredibly helpful.
You probably recognize the Field Depots from the mission Off the Radar. While that’ll be your first introduction to them, nothing actually tells you that inside these Depots, you can actually acquire some needed items.
This guide will cover how to use Field Depots as well as the rewards you’ll receive from them. They can make a great pit stop while you’re topside if you manage to find the Field Crates you need.
How to Use Field Depots
If you’re hoping to use a Field Depot, you’ll need to find yourself a Field Crate first, then bring it to a Field Depot. While this sounds relatively easy, there are some things that make it a bit difficult.
Finding the Field Depot is simple, as once you get enough, you can spot them on your map. Much like Supply Drops, these will move around from round to round, so don’t assume you know where one is just because it was there before.
How to Find Field Crates
These pesky things aren’t necessarily well hidden, but can be missed if you aren’t keeping a sharp eye out for them. They’re large metal containers that you can pick up rather than loot.
You’ll need to take these to the nearest Field Depot you can find, which might be a good distance away. It doesn’t seem like they spawn very ; some are over 100m away. But they do spawn in the general vicinity of Field Depots.
How to Find Field Depots
Once you’ve found yourself a Field Crate, you’ll have to carry it all the way back to a Field Depot. You can find these by getting enough and checking your map or by spotting them from afar.
They aren’t hard to find, as you’ll easily see the satellite dish towers on top of them. You can also ping them at just about any distance to find out if you’re right or not.
When you go inside, you’ll want to find the machine with a red light on it, and you should be able to slot in your Field Crate. After a few seconds, you’ll be able to search the compartment and grab your loot.
Field Depot Rewards
Like with most everything in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to pray to the RNG gods to get anything fantastic. You’ll always get a good amount of items, though, no matter what comes out.
You’ll always find an assortment of the following items at various rarities:

While they may not be a main focus of your run, if your cost-effective build is running low on something, you can probably get it from here with little to no risk involved.
No matter what you’re doing, if you come across a Field Crate, I recommend grabbing it. You can take it to a Field Depot and get some ammo and healing items to make your run topside a little easier.
