Resistance would be a great franchise for Helldivers 2 to cross over with.
Helldivers 2 is one of the most exciting multiplayer games in the universe right now as players across PS5, PC and now Xbox Series X|S are saving democracy. Taking down alien scum and bugs is a necessity for many soldiers around the world, but what helps entice more to join the forces are crossovers. Previously, the Killzone series and now Xbox’s Halo 3: ODST have become part of the game.
There are many more franchises that Helldivers 2 could cross over with, though. It wouldn’t be as ludicrous as Beavis and Butthead or Nicki Minaj in the Call of Duty series, hopefully, but there are eight IPs that PlayStation and the developer of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios, could incorporate.

Killzone had a crossover, why not the other PS3 sci-fi shooter?

Resistance is a classic PS3 series.
Helldivers 2 has been able to collab with one particular sci-fi series from PlayStation called Killzone with the Helghast costumes, but it would be great to see Resistance join in the fun. This PlayStation series from Insomniac Games features a battle between mid-20th-century soldiers from World War 2 against the Chimera.
In a special collab with Helldivers 2, perhaps we could use the weapons from the series, such as the Bullseye which locks its bullets into enemies with a tag, and the powerful AUGER sniper rifle. It would be great to fight against the Chimera in some special missions too if possible. It would give fans of this series something to enjoy after many years of being left on the wayside.
Alien
Ripley’s on the case.

Aliens Fireteam Elite shows you can fight the Xenomorphs in Helldivers 2.
One of the most iconic sci-fi franchises of all time is Alien and it would be incredible to see its Xenomorphs within Helldivers 2 as an enemy. You could create a unique survival horror mode for Helldivers 2 with the Alien in mind, trying to be stealthy to avoid its moves. It could also be a massive threat as it stalks its enemies in a typical fight in Helldivers 2. Aliens Fireteam Elite proves you can have an exhilarating multiplayer experience with these iconic monsters as they run up to you with their dangerous tails and teeth. That game in particular has a «Very Positive» score on Steam.
Храповик и лязг
An unconventional pick.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart would be a fun crossover for Helldivers 2.
A wacky crossover that could happen in Helldivers 2 would be with Ratchet & Clank. Insomniac Games features a lot of creativity within the weaponry of this sci-fi platformer series. You can make your enemies dance with the Groovitron. You could turn foes into sheep. There’s even the RYNO, which demonstrates massive power set to the backdrop of classical music.
There’s a lot Arrowhead Game Studios could work with. For example, Ratchet’s helmets across the series would also make for stellar gear for each Helldiver to wear. Take a look at the helmet from Ratchet: Deadlocked and tell us that wouldn’t look cool on a Helldiver. If you’re curious about the Lombax, his latest game is available on both PS5 and PC (via Steam).
Monster Hunter
A sci-fi spin.

Monster Hunter would be a strange yet cool collab in Helldivers 2.
This would be a wild crossover, but it could work. If Capcom wants to go outside the box, it would be neat to see sci-fi iterations on classic monsters like Rathalos and Crimson Fatalis. It would be a tricky battle for all Helldivers, and if you succeed, perhaps you could hunt them and get loot like a furred helmet or even a melee weapon.
For live service games like Helldivers 2 to succeed, unexpected events and crossovers with big gaming franchises is key to keep the democracy train rolling. We could also see Helldivers 2-related content in Monster Hunter Wilds, if PlayStation and Capcom wanted to completely crossover.
The Mandalorian / Star Wars
The Force would be strong with this crossover.

The Mandalorian could be a mercenary helping the Helldivers.
The Super Earth Ministry of Defense could get desperate and hire bounty hunters to help them in their fight against alien scum. The Peacekeeping force, the Helldivers, could get some assistance from The Mandolorian, Boba Fett and other bounty hunters from the Star Wars universe. We could see iconic shops from the LucasFilm series into Helldivers 2.
Perhaps we could also get some Stormtrooper outfits, but be wary, they may affect your aim. Additionally, there could be iconic Star Wars locations included, such as Kamino or Tatooine. Hopefully they’d manage to fit into the aesthetic of Helldivers 2, though.
Мертвый космос
The Necromorphs would be fun enemies.

An Isaac Clarke outfit for Helldivers 2 would be sick.
One sci-fi horror series that would fit into the Helldivers 2 universe is Dead Space. We could see players put on the Isaac Clarke suit, fighting all manner of aliens, including Dead Space’s Necromorphs. They could shoot at each body part of these gross aliens, just like the original game. The Plasma Cutter would also be a neat weapon to include in this sci-fi infantry game. There’s a lot of potential here.
Heck, Helldivers 2’s publisher PlayStation has previously collaborated with the Dead Space series in the past with Isaac Clarke’s inclusion in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Star Trek
Live long & prosper.
Another sci-fi TV series that Helldivers 2 could crossover with is Star Trek. You could have the Helldivers in the uniforms of the crew from each series of Star Trek. There could be phasers set to stun or kill in Helldivers 2. You could even have Helldivers fight against the Borg in a big battle. It might be a strange pick, especially in a game with much more violence than the Star Trek TV series, but you could make it work, especially with Helldivers 2’s cosmetics system. Even an emote for Spock’s «Long Live & Prosper» would be neat to have.
Helldivers 2 has previously had a collab with Killzone, which had you put on the armor of a Helghast. It was received well, despite being expensive at the time.
Metroid
A Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive?

Samus Aran’s Power Suit would be cool in Helldivers 2.
If Helldivers 2 ever makes it to the Nintendo Switch 2 (which seems possible after the game’s launch on Xbox systems), it would be cool to get a few skins based on Samus Aran’s armor over the years. Helldivers could blast foes with an Arm Cannon. They can also fight Ridley if Nintendo was bold with the crossover. You would think Nintendo is protective of their properties, but the company has crossed over with Sega in the past, their former archrivals.
There was a Legend of Zelda level in Sonic: Lost Worlds when it released on Wii U. Additionally, Mario and Sonic characters have competed against each other in multiple Olympic games crossover titles. Metroid could work in Helldivers 2 if done right.
