Dragon Ball has no shortage of powerful characters, but the Saiyans stand out the most and often step into the spotlight as the franchise’s strongest characters. Saiyans have unique genetic dispositions that make them ideal for combat and conquest, whether it’s their Great Ape transformations, strength-increasing zenkai boosts, or Super Saiyan transformations.
Saiyans have taken over Dragon Ball’s story so much so it’s become difficult for other the humans to make much of an impression in battle. Saiyans always get the most destructive action in Dragon Ball Супер, but everyone’s gotten so strong since DBZ that even humans are strong enough to destroy planets. The Earthling will never defeat the likes of Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, or Broly, but they’ve become more than powerful enough to take on weaker Saiyans who would have given them a hard time just a few years earlier.
10 Raditz Is Lower Than Dirt To The Humans Nowadays
Дебют в аниме: Dragon Ball Z, Эпизод 1, «Новая угроза»; Дебют в манге: Dragon Ball Z, Глава 1 (Dragon Ball Глава 195), «Таинственный воин из космоса»
Raditz doesn’t get as much love as Dragon Ball Z’s other Saiyan villains. He’s an important character who’s swept under the carpet surprisingly quickly and it’s a little odd he’s never returned, considering he’s Goku’s brother. Raditz educates Goku – and the audience – on Saiyans while demonstrating how extreme his people’s strength can be when properly cultivated. Raditz’s power was simply unheard of at the time of Dragon Ball ZДебютный.
Goku and Piccolo need to work together just to beat him, and even then, Goku needs to sacrifice his life in order to guarantee Raditz’s defeat. Krillin gets demolished just walking up to Raditz, but he’s now more than powerful enough to totally destroy the imposing Saiyan. Krillin has proven to be useful against much stronger villains like Frieza, Cell, and even Cell Max. Krillin alone could defeat Raditz, but any tag team combination of humans would easily win against this brash Saiyan.
9 Turles Can’t Beat The Humans Anymore, Even With The Fruit Of Might
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Movie 3, «The Tree Of Might»; Manga Debut: Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission!!, Chapter 3, «Vs. Cumber»

Дерево Могущества‘s Turles arrives on Earth and beats up both Goku & the rest of the Z-Fighters with the help of his versatile Crusher Corps. Turles is able to hold his own against Kaio-Ken x10 Goku, which isn’t on par with Frieza, but is still pretty impressive. That being said, Turles’ power is really only impressive before the advent of Super Saiyan. Power Levels dramatically increase so much in the subsequent story arcs, that even passive characters become significantly more dangerous.
Curiously, Turles becomes as powerful as he is because he consumes the Tree of Might’s fruit, which multiplies the eater’s strength by 15. Dragon Ball Супер‘s humans are strong enough to defeat Turles, even if he has this advantage, but they’d absolutely dominate the Saiyan if they were to eat the Tree of Might’s fruit instead. With a x15 multiplier, even Chiaotzu and Yamcha would overwhelm Turles without difficulty.
8 Goten Shows Little Of Goku Or Gohan’s Potential Or Talent
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Episode 201, «I Am Saiyaman»; Manga Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Chapter 230 (Dragon Ball Chapter 424), «Videl’s Emergency!!»

Goten still holds the record for becoming the youngest Super Saiyan at only seven years old, which is nothing short of incredible, but there have been diminishing returns to his growth. Goten has applied a casual approach to martial arts in his teen years. He doesn’t even participate in the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Супер.
Goten has yet to unlock Super Saiyan 2 and he even struggles to fuse into Gotenks on the regular. Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks would have easily cleared most humans, but it’s been a while since Goten has even been able to properly perform the fusion dance, let alone turn Super Saiyan 3. Tien, Krillin, Master Roshi, and even Yamcha, under the right circumstances, would be able to overpower Goten and secure the victory.
7 Paragus Has A Lower Power Level Than Goku After Training With King Kai
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Super, Movie 1, «Broly»; Manga Debut: Dragon Ball Super, Extra Chapter, «Bonus Story 4»

Broly’s abusive father, Paragus underwent some notable revisions between Dragon Ball Z and his canon Dragon Ball Супер debut. These differences aside, Paragus’ broader strokes remain the same. Paragus freely manipulates his son and uses him to accomplish his own goals. Broly is undeniably powerful, but Paragus evidently doesn’t carry the Legendary Super Saiyan gene. Paragus is no slouch as a Saiyan Colonel, though. He’s skilled in martial arts and combat, although his ki attacks seem to be lacking.
Paragus’ Power Level is in the low 4000s, but it’s important to remember that he’s older and no longer in the prime of life. Paragus is unable to make waves within the Frieza Force, so his rebellious actions against the Z-Fighters’ humans would be even less successful. Humans would be able to easily conquer Paragus. They just need to make sure that Broly doesn’t learn the truth because he’ll definitely return the favor in kind, which these humans are not likely to survive.
6 Tarble’s Never Been Terribly Strong
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Z, OVA Special 3, «The Return Of Son Goku And Friends!»; Manga Debut: Dragon Ball: The Return Of Son Goku And Friends!, Chapter 1, «Chapter 1»
Dragon Ball is certainly guilty of casually mentioning long-lost family members who have never been previously discussed or present in any flashbacks. The Return of Son Goku and Friends! was produced to celebrate Еженедельный Shonen Jump‘s 40th anniversary. The anime special is mostly just a fun excuse to hang out with these characters again, but there’s also the abrupt debut appearance of Vegeta’s younger brother. Tarble is accompanied by his alien wife, Gure, and they’re fairly innocuous presences during this relaxed battle.
The Return of Son Goku and Friends! explains that King Vegeta actually banished Tarble from Planet Vegeta because he was so weak and lacked any natural aggression. Tarble doesn’t engage in any combat and he seems to be borderline afraid of any physical conflict. It’s safe to say that Tarble’s pacifistic nature means the humans from the start of DBZ would be enough to defeat him. Tarble notably retains his Saiyan tail and has the potential to transform into a Great Ape. It’s possible Great Ape Tarble could inconvenience some of Dragon Ball‘s humans, but it’d be close.
5 Nappa Would Suffer 100x The Pain He Inflicted On The Humans
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Episode 5, «Gohan’s Rage»; Manga Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Chapter 10 (Dragon Ball Chapter 204), «The Needs Of The Many»

Raditz is an ultimately just a alarming practice round for Nappa and Vegeta. Nappa sports an intimidating look and while he’s not as strong as Vegeta, he’s capable of doing serious damage. In fact, Nappa is responsible for the deaths of Chiaotzu, Tien, and Piccolo, as well as casually destroying Earth’s military. Nobody is even able to penetrate Nappa’s Saiyan armor.
Nappa represents a real turning point in Dragon Ball where many humans cut their losses and take a step away from action. A human-led victory against Nappa would have been impossible in Dragon Ball Z, but he who would barely inconvenience humans like Krillin, Tien, and Master Roshi today. These humans all casually defeat stronger opponents during the Tournament of Power.
4 Pan Is Destined For Absolute Greatness – But She’s Still Just A Kid
Дебют в аниме: Dragon Ball Z, Эпизод 289, «Внучка Пан»; Дебют в манге: Dragon Ball Z, Глава 324 (Dragon Ball Глава 518), «10 лет спустя»

It’s been very rewarding to watch characters mature into adults, while their children confidently take up the mantle and become even stronger. Gohan has surpassed Goku’s expectations and all signs indicate that the same thing will happen with Gohan’s daughter, Pan. Pan is only three in Dragon Ball Супер, but she’s already deep in wilderness training with Piccolo and capable of beating up generic Red Ribbon soldiers.
It goes without saying that Pan will become one of Dragon Ball’s strongest characters – Saiyan or otherwise – if she continues down this path. Humans would struggle to match Pan’s power in only a few years, but they currently hold the advantage. It’s unlikely that any humans would jump at the opportunity of ruthlessly fighting a three-year-old child. However, this might be their only opportunity to defeat Pan.
3 Trunks Has Squandered Enough Of His Saiyan Potential To Fall Behind
Дебют в аниме: Dragon Ball Z, Эпизод 126, «Появление андроидов»; Дебют в манге: Dragon Ball Z, Глава 143 (Dragon Ball Глава 337), «Сбор воинов»

Trunks is put in a difficult position since the audience also gets to spend a lot of time with his hardened, older future counterpart. Future Trunks is incredibly powerful and someone who Dragon Ball’s humans would struggle to defeat. The younger Trunks, on the other hand, would fail hard despite hitting the ground running and benefitting from having Vegeta as a punishing mentor.
Much like with Goten, Trunks’ greatest accomplishments are during his younger years. Trunks moonlights as Saiyaman-X during his teen years, which is entertaining, but he fails to unlock any new transformations or become a crucial character in battle. Trunks fights alongside Krillin during the battle against Cell Max and it looks like Krillin gets better results. Trunks still has a lot of room to grow.
2 Bardock’s Courage Was Always More Impressive Than His Power Level
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Z, TV Special 1, “Bardock — The Father Of Goku”; Manga Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Chapter 113 (Dragon Ball Chapter 307), «The Ultimate Battle Begins!»

Bardock is a pivotal Dragon Ball character who inadvertently sets the series into motion when he sends his son Goku to Earth. Bardock is shown to be perceptive and brave, but his strength isn’t anything impressive. Bardock fails to lead a successful Saiyan coup against Frieza and it’s safe to presume that his power was below that of Dodoria and Zarbon.
Dragon Ball Супер’s manga adds some greater depth to Bardock’s backstory and indicates that he’s managed to tap into more extreme reservoirs of strength that helped him successfully battle against Inner Nature Unleashed Gas. Regardless of these gains, Dragon Ball Супер’s humans have taken down far stronger threats that make Bardock less intimidating.
1 Super Saiyan Cabba Couldn’t Even Keep Up With Super Saiyan 1 Vegeta
Anime Debut: Dragon Ball Super, Episode 32, «The Matches Begin! We’re All Off To The ‘Planet With No Name!'»; Manga Debut: Dragon Ball Super, Chapter 7, «Warriors From Universe 6»
One of the most exciting details to come out of Dragon Ball Супер’s growing multiverse is that Universe 6 still has a robust Saiyan population. Universe 6’s top Saiyan representatives – Kale, Caulifla, and Cabba – become pivotal players during the Tournament of Power. Kale and Caulifla ascend to new heights when their fused form, Kefla, puts Ultra Instinct Goku on the defensive. Cabba doesn’t have such a luxury and he instead takes Vegeta’s lessons to heart and uses them to turn Super Saiyan.
Cabba unlocks Super Saiyan 2 in record time, but he still lacks a certain confidence that’s not an issue in humans with commendable martial arts careers, like Master Roshi, Krillin, and Tien. Super Saiyan 2 would typically be too much for a human to handle. Cabba is in a unique situation in the sense that he’s still learning how to get the most out of his abilities, whereas Dragon Ball’s humans are at the top of their games.
